JDPC Nnewi (www.jdpcnnewi.org.ng) Empowerment Programs

Justice Development and Peace Caritas (JDPC Nnewi) Empowerment Programs

Justice Development and Peace Caritas, JDPC Nnewi of the Nnewi Archdiocese of the Roman catholic church is organising quarterly exclusive meeting with women & People with disabilities (PWDs) to increase their knowledge about rights and participatory governance. JDPC Nnewi has been running this program in at least eight (8) communities in Ekwusigo and Nnewi South local government areas of Anambra state.

In Osumenyi community of Anambra state, some of the women have started putting what they have learnt from the training into judicious use as they resisted the exploitation ploy by illegal revenue collectors.

Earlier meetings have actually proven that this training seems be a safe space for the women and PWDs to express issues they face regularly in their individual communities with regards to their rights and hindrances for participating in governance and an opportunity for the JDPC Nnewi to follow up on emerging issues and provide support to tackle the issues.

If you want to get in touch with Justice Development and Peace Caritas (JDPC) Nnewi, then log on to their website www.jdpcnnewi.org.ng Or visit their office at Nnewi Anambra state.

Gov. Rochas Okorocha - A patient on the monument smiling at grief.

Is Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha A Christian or Muslim?

I have wondered many times to myself what this Gov. Rochas Okorocha is made of. He is really a patient on the monument smiling at grief.

This was what I read on Vanguard "“Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has concluded plans to establish the Rochas Foundation College in Bauchi State as a way of providing education to the poor and less privileged."  and I started to cry. You can read here Rochas Okorocha To Build School In Bauchi.

A man that is not able to pay workers in his state and goes ahead to think of so many philanthropic projects to carry out. That is not bad anyways... We all know that the economy is bad :(.

But was the economy full of honey when the Governor (Crying Governor) in the past cried to get the good of his people? Have we forgotten the legacies of late Governor Mbakwe of Obowo?

I cleared my eyes so three (3) times to make sure I saw the right thing - Rochas, please get money and pay our teachers... then you can go ahead and even build schools in Borno.

Thanks.
