Previously Adamawa Deputy Governor, Mr Bala Ngilari, confirmed as the state governor

The Previous Adamawa Deputy Governor, Mr Bala Ngilari, was confirmed as the substantive state governor on Wednesday 8th of October 2014 in Yola.

Ngilari was confirmed at Government House by the acting Chief Judge of the state, Justice Audu Lagre, after a request by a Federal High Court, Abuja, that the Acting Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, ought to leave the workplace.

The court held that Ngilari did not leave from office as Deputy Governor in accordance with segment 306 (1)) (2) and (5) of the 1999 Constitution as ammended.

In his address to the people of taking promise of office, Ngilari said he would run an open, transparent and broad government.

In this respect, I welcome different arms of government, specifically the council and legal, not overlooking the common administration, to hold hands with me to accomplish these honorable objectives.  As a gathering man and a cooperative person, I vow my unalloyed backing and dedication to our incredible gathering and Mr president, Ngilari said.

He depicted his rise as a demonstration of "God who offers power to who ever He picks".

"We recognize the celestial force of God in all that happened. The heavenly books of both religions subscribe to the way that power fits in with God and He provides for it in trust to whosoever he wills," Bala Ngilari.
